The first showing of Plastic Shores at the Goethe Institute in Brussels was a great success. Shown for World Water Day (22nd March), the event was hosted by the United Nations Regional Information Centre’s Cine-ONU. Over 300 people attended the showing, a full house, which was followed by a question and answer session with the film’s director Ed Scott-Clarke and the head of the UNEP’s liaison office with the EU, Chris Vanden Bilcke. Video footage of the event will be posted shortly but here are the first photos to come in from the UNRIC. The next step for Plastic Shores is a preview in Richmond on Monday 26th March at the Oliver’s Wholefood Store in Kew Gardens for Greener Upon Thames.
