After just over a month since the Plastic Shores previews at the UN RIC in Brussels and with Greener Upon Thames in Kew Village, LMV put on the main launch of the film at the Soho Hotel in London (above). Held on the 4th May, the event was a great success with representatives of several charities coming along including the WSPA, Fauna and Flora International, Surfers Against Sewage, and Thames21 popping along to see what the fuss was about. Many thanks to all those who helped in the preparation of the screening including Isobel Scott-Clarke for her hard work in hand-making the goody-bags for the event, Katie Tunn for creating the incredible cookies (pictured below), Bea Schofield for organising the Cobra Beer sponsorship, Martyn White from London Biopackaging who supplied the compostable plastic bags for the cookies, John Hensley for the Harmless dissolve bags, and 5 Gyres for providing the pamphlets on how to reduce plastic waste. We apologise about the lack of photos for the event but our official photographer went AWOL and we had to rely upon guests.
