Scarborough Shoal without any doubt belongs to the Philippines since time immemorial. When there were still US bases in the country, it became a favorite bombing range by US warships and warplanes. I don’t know why if it were indeed China’s territory as being claimed, were there no protests from China when US ships and planes were using it.
